Cremation Essentials Package
This package is for families wanting a basic cremation with no ceremony. Included in this package are the essential items needed for the cremation to be completed, registered with the provincial government, transfer of the deceased, the cremation process, and sheltering of the deceased. The deceased will need to be placed in a combustible rigid casket, we recommend looking at our cremation casket options on this page.
Package Includes the following items:

Professional Services
- Professional services include all facilities and equipment needed to make arrangements.
- Meeting with our Funeral Directors and being informed of service options.
- Ascertaining who has the legal right to make the funeral arrangements.
- Ensuring families understand their choices between burial and cremation.
- Contacting medical staff, coroner’s office and other authorities.

Transfer Fee
- Removal of the deceased from the place of death at any time of day (ie hospital, home, care facility) & transport back to our Funeral Home, 24/7. *Additional costs would apply for transfers made outside of the Sea to Sky Corridor or Lower Mainland.
- Includes vehicle, equipment and necessary items to conform with universal transfer precautions.

Documentation
- Registering the death with Vital Statistics and producing burial permits and cremation certificate
- Preparation and filing of all neccessary authorizations and permits.
- Gathering of Vital Statistical information in order to register the death.

Sheltering & Refrigeration
- Providing sheltering, housing, handling and refrigeration of your loved one in our 24/7 supervised funeral home.

Cremation Fee
- Cremation takes place at our own crematorium located at Squamish Funeral Chapel under our staff supervision.
- Cremains/Urn can be ready for pick up / internment the following date after the cremation.
*Note: Cremation cannot take place until 48 hours after the time of death and until we receive the doctor’s medical certificate and or Coroner’s release.

CPA Fee
Mandatory fee payable to the consumer protection agency of British Columbia.

1 Death Certificate
Additional Death Certificates are $27 each and are issued by Vital Statistics BC

- Preperation of body if desired (washing, dressing, or embalming),

Many families wish to have a personalized momento or piece of jewelry to hold on to following a death.
Our fingerprint jewelry allows us to take a fingerprint of your loved one prior to the cremation and have their print casted on to one of our many keepsake items. Please ask one of our funeral directors to show you our many options.
