This is a package in which a family would like to have a private viewing/visitation with their loved one prior to the cremation taking place. 

Please note that this package does not include any embalming. Embalming is not required by law but maybe recommended to families by funeral directors, depending on the death and condition of the deceased. Embalming can help with the viewing and restore colour and features in the deceased. If you have any questions regarding embalming, please contact one of our funeral directors.

Package Includes the following items:

  • Professional Services: $880

    • Arrangement conference with family providing assistance with service options
    • Facilities & Equipment (building expenses, equipment used for arrangement, administrative expenses, insurance, and other overhead expenses).
    • Ascertaining who has the legal rights to make the funeral arrangements.
    • Completion of CPP & Old Age Security Forms.
    • Contacting medical staff, coroner's office and other authorities to obtain medical certificates/clearance.
  • Transfer Fee: $520

    • Removal of the deceased from the place of death at any time of day (ie hospital, home, care facility) & transport back to our Funeral Home, 24/7.  *Additional costs would apply for transfers made outside of the Sea to Sky Corridor or Lower Mainland.
    • Includes vehicle, equipment and necessary items to conform with universal transfer precautions.

  • Documentation: $270

    • Registering the death with Vital Statistics and producing burial permits and cremation certificate
    • Preparation and filing of all neccessary authorizations and permits.
    • Gathering of Vital Statistical information in order to register the death.
  • Sheltering, Housing, & Refrigeration: $475

    • Providing sheltering, housing, handling and refrigeration of your loved one in our 24/7 supervised funeral home.
  • Cremation Fee: $940

    • Cremation takes place at our own crematorium located at Squamish Funeral Chapel under our staff supervision.
    • Cremains/Urn can be ready for pick up / internment the following date after the cremation.

    *Note: Cremation cannot take place until 48 hours after the time of death and until we receive the doctor’s medical certificate and or Coroner’s release.


  • Visitation Venue & Staffing Fee: $370

    • Use of our chapel space for the visitation.
    • Set up & clean up of space.
    • Staffing for assistance durring the viewing.
  • Dressing & Washing of the Deceased: $336

    • Proper dressing and washing of the deceased for funeral mass and disposition.
  • Attending the Cremation at SFC: $3,791

    Does not include:

    • Taxes,
    • Cremation Casket,
    • Death Certificates ($27 each),
    • Food or Beverages,
    • Cemetery Fees,
    • Disbursements,
    • CPA Fee ($40),
    • Any additional items a family may choose (urn, obituary notice costs, service programs, video tribute, church fees, etc..)
